Narc

While some of this dirty cop drama may feel a little routine, the performances are first rate. Ray Liotta is a scary bastard as a rule-breaking cop feverishly perusing the men who killed his partner. Jason Patric is good as an undercover police officer getting back on the streets after being involved in a tragedy on the job. The film has a good look to it, and keeps you involved, although it does give off a déjà vu vibe. Liotta could get some Oscar consideration for this one.
