Hellish weekend
It was quite a treat for the few dozen denizens of the night when goth dance band The Crux Shadows played the Blue Lamp on Oct. 27. The bandmembers packed themselves onto the Lamp’s small stage, which was flanked by banners of Egyptian deities. Violinist Rachel poured out sweet, ethereal sounds, while the rest of the band hammered out industrial dance beats. Singer Rogue mingled with the audience singing to them face to face. Reno’s own Endif opened the show. On Halloween Eve, the original dead boy of rock, Alice Cooper, paid a visit to Modern Guitar on Moana Lane to sign autographs, talk golf and take photos with fans. Later that night, Alice could’ve raised the dead with the show at the City Center Pavilion.
