Music notes
Long time Acrylic front man Bill Conran is leaving Reno to pursue a career in music management. Conran will be attending Belmont University in Nashville and starting up his Black Light record label. Conran has sung with Reno’s premier Brit-pop band since ‘96. "While other bands were doing rap-metal and poorly executed punk-pop, Acrylic played the great Brit-pop sound. It will leave a huge hole in the Reno music scene and in my heart," lamented KRZQ DJ Mat Diablo on Bill’s departure and the breakup of the group. The remainder of the band will be working on solo, group and other music projects.
