Warren Coleman, the bassist and founding member of
Deja Blues who turned 74 in May 2003, has announced his retirement. Coleman injured his hand in June, and although he has fully recuperated, he has decided to play only very limitedly. Carl Vanderziel will be his replacement, joining the band in the 120-plus regional shows they play a year. …
The False Idols have secured a recording date with a local Reno studio for Jan. 17 and will be recording a five-song EP that will, according to their Web site, “be professionally packaged and shrink-wrapped.” … The full length CD for local band
