Music notes
Fans of the now-extinct
Two-20-Two have good news: Three-quarters of the band, bassist/lead vocalist Gus Caba and drummer/vocalist Matt Smothers, have joined with local guitarists Jerry Davis (formerly of
Local 420/
Triggerhead) and Patrick Anthony (formerly of
Ill Logic) to form a band called
Lingus. Band members say their sound is “heavier and more exciting” than that of previous projects. … Seattle folk/pop musician
Jill Cohn, who has opened up for the likes of Dave Matthews
and made a side stage appearance at Lilith Fair, will bring her feathery, yearning-filled soprano to Esoteric Coffeehouse
8 p.m. Jan. 17; check her out at www.jillcohn.com.
