Mini wonders

You would think that having written world-renowned romance novels, having worked for Howard Hughes and having been invited to the Queen’s coronation, a person would be too caught up in her own life to share some time with us average folk. Not so. Internationally recognized historic romance novelist Virginia Coffman and her sister, artist Donnie Coffman Micciche, will be at the Sensational Sisters Show: From Minis to Maxis to share their stories, art and novels from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 23 at Amaranth Gallery, 135 N. Sierra St., Suite D. Coffman will be selling and autographing her novels and Micciche will be selling her original miniature acrylic paintings, as well as some of her larger paintings. Aside from having visited the Queen, Donnie used to sing at the Mapes, and it is rumored that one of these Reno ladies has some paintings by Rudolf Valentino in her bathroom.
