Powerman 5000 have had a few ups and downs since releasing their hit 1999 single, “When Worlds Collide.” In 2001, PM5K scrapped plans to release an album and lost a few band members in the process. But in 2003, PM5K returned with a new line-up and new album, Transform. The group is working on a new album but, in the meantime, is taking a short break from the studio with a few live shows. They perform March 23 at New Oasis, 2100 Victorian Ave., Sparks. Mnemonic and Delusions of Grandeur open the show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13-$15. Call 359-4020. —Kelley Lang
