Dockworkers of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union stopped work in U.S. West Coast ports on May 1, International Workers’ Day, to call for an end to the war in Iraq. Northern Nevada union members protested at the Thompson Courthouse and Federal Building in support, handing out leaflets with the ILWU resolution calling for an end to the war and carrying signs.
