Loco for Julio

No matter what controversy broils up around this year’s Cinco de Mayo festival, one thing that can’t be disputed is the power of Julio Iglesias. The Spanish native holds an award from the Guinness Book of World Records for selling more records—a grand total of about 250 million—than any other artist in history. Though he’s nearly 60 now, and many younger fans may know him only as the dad of the prominently moled Enrique, Iglesias is still pumping out albums—77 to date, earning 2,650 gold and platinum records along the way. He’s is also still crooning to all the girls he’s loved before, including those who will see him perform at 9 p.m. May 3-4 in the Silver Legacy’s Grande Exposition Hall. Tickets prices range from $45 to $70. Call (800) 687-8733 or visit www.SilverLegacy.com. For information on other Cinco de Mayo happenings, visit www.CincodeMayoReno.com.
