A lobbyist who appeared on this newspaper’s cover last month was knocked off his bicycle by a car in Carson City last week.

Bill Gregory, a former Republican assemblymember who appeared on our cover alongside his colleague Helen Foley, was going through an intersection when a car hit him. He was taken to an emergency room and treated for cuts and bruises but was otherwise unharmed and was back at work at the Nevada Legislature the next day.

As it happens, Gregory is the lobbyist for the Nevada chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the day before the accident he had succeeded in advancing one of their measures in the legislature.
