Local boys make it big in Germany. The hard-rocking three-piece Mnemonic, veterans of the Reno scene since 2002, recently signed with a German record label, Tiefdruck Musik. Their new album, Pandora, is climbing up the German charts, currently in the top 20 and in striking distance of the top 10. Guitarist and vocalist Brian Stoudt describes the album: “I hate using the word ‘alternative,’ but … I’d say, heavy alternative rock, with melody.” They’re heading off for a European tour to capitalize on their newfound success there, but not before tearing up Tonic Lounge, 231 W. Second St., on Saturday, Sept. 20, 9 p.m. $5. Stoudt says, “We’re going to play everything we’ve got.”
