Inside Job
A riveting documentary, narrated by Matt Damon, that looks at the economic collapse of 2008 and the factors that brought it upon us. No presidents since Reagan, including the current one, emerge unscathed from Charles Ferguson’s examination of the governmental manipulations and Wall Street greed that caused a big-assed bubble to form and burst across the world, creating a situation that will take a long time to recover. Ferguson manages to get a lot of interviews with key players, and one of the more interesting aspects of this film is watching these financial advisors and supposed giants crumble under the weight of his unyielding questions. Of course, many refused to speak to him, but that doesn’t mean they’re safe from this guy’s wrath. This is one of those films that everybody with a bank account should see.
