Hoop workshop
The Yerington Paiute Tribe will host an instructional program to help Nevadans learn how to make and use hoop houses.
The workshop, a day long event, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the Yerington tribal reservation, 171 Campbell Lane in Lyon County. Hoop houses are used to extend growing seasons both for home gardeners and commercial farms (“Hoophouse hoopla,” RN&R, April 29). Information on the workshop can be obtained at 775/351-2551.
