Holly days

Spending some time staring at the back of someone’s head is not an uncommon experience at this time of year. This was the line at the university post office on Monday, Dec. 19, which was expected to be the busiest day of this year’s holiday season, with 611 million pieces of mail sent that day across the nation. That would mean postal workers took in slightly more than 7,000 pieces each of the 86,400 seconds of the day.
