Hi ho, Silver!

Silverland, a new gallery with a focus on the American West—not as a geographical place, but as a conceptual ideal—is opening in one of the most authentically Western towns in the country: Virginia City. Located inside the historic St. Mary’s Art Center, the gallery promises to be a unique venue for artists. “I think that it’s really appealing to the artists as a life experience,” says the gallery’s director, Leah Ruby. “It’s just a really fun place to show your artwork.” The gallery opens with an exhibition by Reno artist Ron Rash that will be exhibited through Sept. 2.
