For renters thinking about making the big leap into home ownership, Nevada Fair Housing Inc. and Consumer Credit Affiliates offer a free home-buying seminar, "A Home of My Own." The class covers building a good credit history, obtaining a mortgage, shopping for a home, learning Nevada law and managing the negotiation process. Classes in Spanish are held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 7 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 15. Classes in English are held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 12 and 19.
