Nevadans voted for predominantly green-minded politicians in the recent primary election, according to the Nevada Conservation League. Eighty-one percent of candidates endorsed by the NCL won in the primaries. Local wins included Teresa Benitez Thompson, Assembly District 27, in Washoe County; Don Gustavson for the Republicans in Washoe Senate District 2; and Allison Edwards for the Democrats in Washoe Senate District 2. Gaining victories elsewhere in the state were Assemblyman Lynn Stewart (AD 22) in Clark County, Elliot Anderson (AD 15) in eastern Las Vegas, Jason Frierson (AD 8) in southwest Las Vegas, and Tammy Peterson in Clark County Senate District 8.
