General Excellence is pretty good

Welcome to this week’s Reno News & Review.

It’s always my pleasure around this time of year to announce our winners in the urban weeklies category of the Nevada Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest. It’s always great to be recognized by our peers. Entries were judged by the Utah Press Association.

My favorite is the General Excellence award, which we won. We compete against Southern Nevada papers much larger than ours.

I wish I could list all the winners, but we just don’t have the space. All the winners can be found at http://tinyurl.com/NVpress .
