Gates to Buddhist Practice

As the title suggests, this is a good book to start with if you’re interested in Buddhist thought. Understanding the foundations of any Eastern philosophy can be difficult for Western readers, and this revised edition features what I’m sure many readers have wished for at one time or another: answers to the questions that arise while reading. The author, an active teacher, artist and healer, has included many of the questions he’s been asked since the book’s original publication in 1993. Even better, these Q&A’s are integrated into the flow of the text, clarifying points as you go along. In addition to the new material, Gates to Buddhist Practice is written in a conversational tone, and many parables from the author’s native Tibet are used, making it easier to digest the tough concepts.
