Free e-waste recycling every day

Area residents have eight new places to take their electronic waste for free. A-American Self Storage recently announced its new eWaste Recycling Program. It allows the public to recycle computer CPUs and monitors, televisions, laptops, cabling, radios, stereos, cell phones, cell phone batteries and speakers, among other items. They don’t accept household appliances like microwaves or coffee machines. Customers can go to one of the company’s eight locations in Reno, Sparks or Gardnerville (find them at ewasterecyclingcenter.com), which are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. Then they fill out a short form in the office, and place the electronics in recycling bins.
