Freddy vs. Jason
Far better than it should have ever been, the long awaited showdown of two slasher legends turns out to be a fun time at the movies. Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) has been forgotten by the children of Elm Street, so he enlists the help of Jason Voorhees to stir up some Freddy memories with some good, old fashioned beheadings. Englund is great fun as Freddy, but the real star here is director Ronny Yu, who makes a $30 million film that looks better than most $100 million movies. Could be the bloodiest mainstream movie ever made, with spouting geysers of blood resulting from even the slightest touch of blade to flesh. If this is your kind of movie, you are in for a good time.
