First phone made from recycled plastic unveiled

Motorola unveiled what they’re saying is the world’s first cell phone made from recycled materials. The MOTO W233 Renew is made with recycled plastic—water bottles—and was unveiled at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month. Motorola officials says it’s also the first carbon neutral phone, as the company offsets the phone through renewable energy investments and reforestation projects through Carbonfund.org. It’s set to be available through T-Mobile by spring. No word on the price yet.
