Eco-Event: Seed ball work bee

Help Urban Roots Farm make seedballs on Sunday, Aug. 7, during a work bee from 9 a.m. to noon at its new property. What’s a seedball, you might ask? Just as it sounds, a ball of soil and compost packed full of seeds that’s thrown out into landscapes, also known as “seed bombs.” The under-construction farm, which will be a demonstration and educational space for young students, is at 3001 W. Fourth St., just east of 4th St. Bistro. Learn more at www.urgc.org.
