Eco-event: Public hearing on the Forest Area Plan
A public hearing of the Regional Planning Governing Board will take place Thurs., Dec. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at Washoe County Commission Chambers, 1001 E. Ninth St. The hearing regards the Forest Area Plan, with one focus being sensible growth and water use. Citizens who have watched their wells go dry amid new development are planning to attend and encourage the board to uphold the voter- approved WC3 measure, which ties growth to known water resources.
