Dreamcatcher

Things get way out of hand in this overlong, overstuffed adaptation of the Stephen King novel. Director Lawrence Kasdan would’ve done the movie going world a favor by throwing out one, two or 15 of King’s far-too-many plot devices in this sloppy movie. The film starts out as a disgusting alien movie with monsters bursting out of people’s assholes and then proceeds to become a military thriller, a childhood bonding flick, an ESP thriller and an alien invasion epic all rolled into one. The result is a bloody mess.
