Confessions of a Dangerous Mind

Chuck Barris wrote an “unauthorized” autobiography, claiming that on top of his duties producing and creating such TV hits as The Gong Show and The Dating Game, he was a CIA assassin. George Clooney makes a bold directorial debut adapting those memoirs to the screen as though they were the truth. Sam Rockwell is amazing in the role of the quirky game show guru. With a screenplay by Charlie Kaufman (Adaptation), and great camerawork from Newton Thomas Sigel, Clooney has himself a well-structured, great-looking picture. Also starring Drew Barrymore, Julia Roberts and Clooney as Rockwell’s CIA contact.
