Clark County civil rights and women’s rights pioneer Ruby Duncan shakes hands with an old acquaintance, Brendan Riley of Associated Press’s Carson City bureau. Riley covered Duncan’s legislative lobbying in the 1960s and ‘70s. Duncan returned to the capitol this week as a presidential elector, casting one of Nevada’s five electoral votes for Barack Obama. Standing next to Duncan is elector Tahis Castro of Washoe County.
