Chicago

Rated 4.0 The classic Bob Fosse musical finally comes to the big screen, and the filmmakers have done a pretty decent job with a tough-to-adapt piece of work. Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere (that’s right, Richard Gere) all deliver excellent performances, each of them doing some decent toe tapping and first-rate singing. The film is not well lit at times, and the editing cuts into some of the action (most notably, Gere’s tap dance number). Still, the music is great, and the performances out of this world.
