Celebrate the palette

My best friend is a painter, or as she likes to be called, a paintress. She has a lot to offer in the way of her unique artistic style and a lot to offer as a friend, as she often lets me watch her paint. Watching her paint is like watching her undress. I feel like a peeping tom as she reveals something from her imagination on whitewashed pieces of cardboard, wood, etc. You can experience this thrill, too, although it won’t be with my friend. The new art gallery, Gallery DecorARTive, gives attendants the opportunity to observe artist Don Bowland as he creates romantically themed art at the gallery’s grand opening, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 4. The gallery will also feature the art of painter Manel Anoro along with wine tasting and the opportunity to purchase Bowland’s art.
