A Chinese company who wants to bring a big solar energy farm and factory to Laughlin, Nev., is in negotiations with Clark County. The factory, which is to be situated on 300 to 400 acres 12 miles south of Laughlin, is expected to create 2,000 manufacturing jobs. The company, ENN Mojave Energy Corps., said that average pay for these jobs was $72,000 in 2007. Once the factory is complete, the company expects workers to spend the next two to three years building solar panels for a 5,100-acre solar plant near the Fort Mojave Indian Reservation. Construction on the plant could begin this year or in early 2012. Solar panel manufacturing is slated to begin March 2013, producing 2.7-5.4 million solar panels per year, according to a Las Vegas Sun report.

Parent company ENN Group is one of the largest energy companies in China.
