Beauty and the Beast: Platinum Edition

Disney

I’m a sucker for a good Disney cartoon, and this one, originally released in 1991, represents the high watermark for the Mouse’s animation division. The DVD is a two-disc set that provides loads of special features and a previously deleted musical scene returned to the film. If I were to complain about something in this DVD, it would be the participation of Celine Dion as a host for the "making of" feature. That hurts, and it hurts bad. The package comes emblazoned with a gold stamp stating that it is available for a limited time only, so don’t screw around. Buy it before its gone and replaced by the Super Plutonium Extra Special Ice Cream Edition, rumored to include a deleted scene of Belle eating pizza with Henry Kissinger.
