Ballot meeting planned

Local activist Marie Gilbert will hold a “What’s on the Ballot Party” at the main library.

“The idea is that everyone brings their sample ballot, some snacks, a few opinions and research on 2-3 items that they have no vested interest in,” Gilbert said in a meeting notice. “We get together, go through the ballot from top to bottom in 2 hours 45 minutes, and hopefully people feel that they are better prepared to walk into the booth on Election Day.”

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, at noon.
