Art pick of the week
Watercolorist and oil painter Deborah Von Zink will show her collection The New Paintings of Deborah Von Zink—A Reintroduction at the North Tahoe Art Center beginning Feb. 2. Von Zink studied art at the Academy of Art in San Francisco but brought her talents back to her birthplace of Squaw Valley, Calif., and has since shown extensively throughout the region, the country and the world. An opening reception for the artist will be held at 5 p.m. Feb. 2 with wine, food and live music. The North Tahoe Art Center is at 380 North Lake Blvd. in Tahoe City.
