Art pick of the week

Italian painter Domenico Romano and photographer Cynthia Ryan will show L’Arte di Positano: A Collection of Oil Paintings and Photographs from Italy in a complementary exhibit. Romano’s paintings of Italian landscapes and seascapes will be shown at the Advanced TelCom Group Inc. building, 200 S. Virginia St. Ryan’s limited editions of black-and-white photographs of the people and lifestyle of Positano and southern Italy will be shown at the KNPB Artbeat Gallery on the University of Nevada, Reno, campus. Both exhibits open 6 p.m. Jan. 5 with a reception at the KNPB Artbeat Gallery and close March 16. For more information, call 329-2787.
