Art pick of the week
Enjoy a portrait of the state—its land, its people and its history—seen through a modern lens in Nevada, an exhibit based on a book by the same name. The exhibit runs Sept. 1-30 at the Sierra Arts Center, 200 Flint St. A reception and book signing will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 for author Jon Christensen and photographer Deon Reynolds.
