All nighter

Give to the community (and have a night out on the town) by attending the second annual Dusk ’Til Dawn tavern tour. David Muskin, event coordinator and owner of Davidson’s Distillery, says the idea for Dusk ’Til Dawn rose out of a desire to help those in need but also to give residents a reason to patronize Fourth Street businesses. On this tour, participants buy a $10 ticket, which they can exchange for an armband at Davidson’s Distillery, 275 W. Fourth St. Patrons can then visit other venues on Fourth Street and receive drink specials or see live entertainment without paying a cover charge. Participating bars include Abby’s Highway 40, Alturas Bar, Club Masquerade, Club Underground, Diamond Jack & Sunset Thomas’ Gentlemen’s Club, Dilligas Saloon, Downtown Cue & Cushion and Reno Jazz Club. Davidson’s Distillery will feature San Francisco band Candy from Strangers (pictured) at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 9. Dusk ’Til Dawn starts at 6 p.m. Dec. 9. and ends at 6 a.m. Dec. 10. The event includes a midnight barbecue dinner at Davidson’s and a 6 a.m. breakfast at Dilligas Saloon, 1303 E. Fourth St. Proceeds go to the Reno Active 20-30 Club’s efforts to help underprivileged children. Call 225-3404 or 560-2041 for details.
