Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London

Rated 1.0 It’s surprising to me that Frankie Muniz, the talented star of Malcolm in the Middle, would subject himself to juvenile trash. Yet, here he is for a second go as Cody Banks, a direct rip-off of the Spy Kids. This time out, Cody must thwart the worldwide dominance scheme of a former commander while enduring the slapstick nonsense put forth by Anthony Anderson. The action takes place in London, and the film proves my theory that any American film based in London must include the line “Hey, don’t get your knickers in a twist!” The action is poorly filmed, the script lame, and the humor as pedestrian as can be. I laughed once when some dude farted on an elevator. If you ask me, this film features too many shots of kids punching and kicking adults in the face. If you take your kids to this one, don’t be surprised if they deck you with a roundhouse kick the next time you try to ground them.
