Abuse funding hiked
The Nevada Legislature gave final approval to a $5 increase in the marriage license fee and a $5 hike in the cost of certified copies of marriage licenses, to be devoted to domestic abuse shelter programs. Funding for such programs, which up to now came solely from marriage license fees, have declined in hard times.
