Bartenders are famous for being great listeners. Turns out they’re pretty good at sharing, too. Bartenders at four Reno establishments let us in on how to make some of their favorite drinks so that we can offer them to you.

Pomegranate Martini

Amendment 21
425 S. Virginia St.; 786-0808

Rim a martini glass with sugar. Pour two parts Three Olives Mango Vodka to one part Pama Liqueur. Add a splash or two of sweet and sour, a tiny splash of simple syrup, and a splash of cranberry juice. Shake it.

Thai Martini

Bistro 7
7111 S. Virginia St.; 851-9463

Mix 2.5 ounces of infused lemongrass vodka, with a splash of pineapple, a splash of coconut milk, and squeeze of lime.

Molly’s Mai-Tai

The Waterfall
34 W. Second St.; 322-7373

Mix 1.25 ounces of Bacardi Silver with 3/4 ounce of Peach Schnapps, a half ounce of Triple Sec, and a 4 ounce mixture of cranberry, pineapple and orange juices. Add a floater of Myers Rum on top.

The Mill Street Mimosa

Foxy Olive
220 Mill St.; 324-4119

This aptly named drink, created by Ryan Himmel, says much about the character of the Foxy Olive, a great little hole-in-the-wall. Ready?

Mix orange juice and Miller High Life, with proportions to taste. Best served in a pint glass, not a champagne flute.
