Issue: August 11, 2011
Hi everybody,
Envelope please ... here they are, the results of this year's Biggest Little Best of Northern Nevada readers' poll. All across the valley this week, there will be cheers of glory ("I can't believe we won!"), howls of defeat ("Tied for third? What the heck?"), eye rolls of annoyance ("Why do those jerks win every year?"), shrugs of indifference ("Who cares?"), and bellyaches of surprise ("The results of the RN&R Best Of are out? I didn't even know voting had started. Isn't it usually in the fall?"). But whatever your reaction, here are the results. Ricardo Olvera did the art this year, and he did an amazing job--photos that combine the mysterious iconography of the tarot, digital trickery, and the festive energy of dia de los muertos. Don't forget to pick up a newsprint copy for exclusive columns and cartoons.
As always, thanks for reading. If it weren't for you, we'd have no votes to count.
Thank you from all of us at the Reno News & Review.
