Raley Field hosts the Sacramento River Cats' home opener this Friday, April 11, at 7:05 p.m. Let's look at the food situation: Talk to any foodie in town, and they'll probably say, “It needs more craft beer.” Still, it's got some options. There's a Beers of the World cart in section 109, a beer garden in section 124 and, of course, a Coors Light cart in section 106 for the noncraft enthusiast. For nonalcoholic baseball fans, Raley Field's (located at 400 Ballpark Drive in West Sacramento) one of the only places in town where you can still get Merlino’s Freeze (section 117). Foodwise, new this year are sweet and savory pies from the An Honest Pie food truck (section 107). And in its Raley Field debut, West Sacramento restaurant Broderick Roadhouse will serve grub in the Jack Daniel's Solon Club. Section 119 has vegetarian options, including a black-bean burger and vegetarian Italian sausage. And, of course, there's the Donut Cheeseburger in sections 105 and 115. Move over peanuts and Cracker Jacks.
