Three American tourists on a cheap Paris vacation (Selena Gomez, Katie Cassidy, Leighton Meester) get a taste of the high life when one of them (Gomez) is mistaken for a jet-set heiress. Supposedly based on a novel by Jules Bass, the story has actually been recycled many times by 20th Century Fox, first in Three Blind Mice (1938), then Moon Over Miami, Three Little Girls in Blue, How to Marry a Millionaire and Three Coins in the Fountain. The formula is a little threadbare here in the fumbling hands of director Thomas Bezucha and his co-writers April Blair, Maria Maggenti and Kelli Bowe. Still, the movie does have its little pleasures, in an adolescent high-school-drama-club sort of way, and the scenery is nice. Pierre Boulanger, Cory Monteith and Luke Bracey play the girls’ respective love interests.
