Here’s how this CD release/art show works: The gallery exhibition by Nine by 9 Photography starts at 5 p.m., but then at 7 p.m., musicians from Greg Edwards’ Modesto-based Off the Air‘s new compilation, Portraits: 32 Singers, 32 Songs, will play ditties. Artists on the CD include Mike Sempert of Birds & Batteries, Not an Airplane (pictured), Garrett Pierce and Silver Darling, plus a ton more. That’s right: as many songs as flavors at Baskin Robbins.
