Wine-and-dine week

Sacramento has some great restaurants, and the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau wants to highlight them. That’s why it has organized an event called Sacramento Wine & Dine Restaurant Week, Wednesday, May 30, through Sunday, June 10. During the week-plus event, a number of restaurants in the greater Sacramento area—most of them in Midtown and downtown Sacramento—will be offering special prix fixe dinners. These menus are designed to show off the culinary talent and expertise in each restaurant’s kitchen, and, to top it off, each meal comes with tastes of local wines. Sure, some of the meals cost upward of $50 per person, but with high-end restaurants like Grange Restaurant & Bar, Mulvaney’s Building & Loan and Hawks Restaurant participating, this celebration is actually a good way to save money while trying out some of the area’s ritziest restaurants.
