The Vampyre

The Chautauqua Playhouse tries their hand at drama in the “thriller” The Vampyre. Lord Ruthven (David Garrison) is a poet and vampire who has come to destroy the life of a young gambler, Aubrey (Nicholas Massa) and take his family on a “dark, long journey” through the English countryside. But with a weak plot, this play becomes a “dark, long journey,” and one you should do without. F, Sa 8pm; Su 2pm. Through 11/14. $16-$18.
