Al Gore’s 2009 book Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis recently came out in a more environmentally friendly package. It’s now an app. The Our Choice app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch boasts a richer multimedia experience than a regular e-book, yet lacks the social-media aspects of many other apps. Still, at $4.99 at the iTunes store, it’s a steal. You get the entire book plus additional infographics, animations, audio and video. Additionally, Gore is donating all profits from the app to the Alliance for Climate Protection, so it’s a win-win purchase for the environment.
