Testify, brother

We’re not sure what this is, but it has something to do with Mind X.

We’re not sure what this is, but it has something to do with Mind X.

This reasonably hammered guy walked up to me at a recent Jackie Greene gig at Marilyn’s. “People in North Beach know this ain’t nothing,” he slurred, waving his margarita glass. “They seen this all before. But these dumb people in Sacramento …” he faltered and then continued: “You wanna see good music? Mind X. Go see Mind X.” It so happens that Friday, January 3, the aforementioned Mind X will play at Old Ironsides, 1901 10th Street, with Seventy and the Ricky & Del Connection. The show starts at 9 p.m., and the cover is $7. If you want some good tips on live music, well, take the advice of that guy with the margarita, OK?
