Los Angeles' Golden Ghosts got its start playing various shows during the 2011 South by Southwest Music Festival, and it was a fitting beginning: Its energy is abundant and constant, and one gets the impression that the vibe is garage-rock-band-at-a-festival even when it's not playing a festival. The group's style, both sonically and physically, is a zealous nod to the '70s, and lead singer Riley Bray pulls off both shoulder-length locks and Jagger-esque dance moves with aplomb. The Ghosts' Facebook photos suggest they might've watched Almost Famous one too many times, but regardless, the live show promises to provide an electric jolt to a Saturday night in Davis. 129 E.
