Revitalized street tacos

Oak Park Sol will be launching its Urban Community Land Trust with a fundraiser to help buy land and develop it into community spaces like pocket parks and urban farms, with input from residents. A $25 ticket gets you beverages from Bike Dog Brewing Co. and Grand Island Vineyard as well as either chicken or potato street tacos, prepared by Greg Norrish, urban farmer and pop-up chef known for the Little Dinner Party Project. It’ll be hosted in the courtyard of McGeorge School of Law (3200 Fifth Avenue) at 5 p.m. on April 22. Local businesses, like the Sacramento Food Co-Op and Soil Born Farms, will offer gift certificates for the raffle and silent auction, but the big ticket item is a weekend cabin stay in Tahoe. Proceeds will help to revitalize a dusty corner at 14th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard, organizer Randy Standard said, as Oak Park Sol seeks to build upon its successes like 3733 Broadway, which it transformed into a community garden.
