Rage: Carrie 2, The

Rated 2.0 A high school misfit (Emily Bergl) runs afoul of the jock-and-cheerleader crowd, and they plot a vicious prank against her, unaware that she has psychic powers that can wreak havoc when her emotions are aroused. This sequel to the Stephen King/Brian de Palma 1976 classic follows the original in every detail, including the climactic bloodbath. Writer Rafael Moreu and Director Katt Shea have added some ‘90s touches but otherwise it’s a slavish remake rather than a sequel, with only Amy Irving held over from the first film (she won’t be back for the third, if you get my drift). As Rachel (the new Carrie), newcomer Bergl is quite good, and may be someone to watch.
